The perfect way to see the Tall Ships in all their glory is aboard s/v Hestia, a 32-foot 2001 model Catalina sailboat. Take your sweetheart. Or, since s/v Hestia comfortably holds six people, take your friends, and get the whole boat to yourself.
Sit back and soak in the sights of Boston Harbor and the Tall Ships. See these majestic vessels as we make way past the berthing area. Weather and wind permitting we will raise the sails for a first hand experience of sailing boston harbor. s/v Hestia provides a fresh perspective. Laugh, relax and have some fun.
This sail on s/v Hestia lasts over two hours. Boarding begins at 11:30am and 3pm. As a Hestia guest, you're welcome to sit back and relax or pull on the lines, crank on the winch, and help with the sailing. You can even bring your own food, snacks, and drinks to enjoy as you coast around the harbor. Don't worry if you have sea fears, s/v Hestia is well equipped with life vests for each passenger and additional safety gear.

s/v Hestia is a 2001 Catalina model C320 32ft sailboat. she's well equipped with safety gear and comfortably seats 6 people. The popular Sunset Sails depart daily at 6pm primarily from Burroughs Wharf in the North End or the Aquarium. Lunchtime, Afternoon, Moonlight, and Full Day sails 7 days a week.

Burroughs Wharf in the North End is between the buildings of 40 & 50 Battery St - at the End of Battery St.

The buildings at Battery St. are private property. Please respect their rights. If you have any questions during pick up call Captain Todd @ 617-510-6767.
Parking lots on Commercial St just south of Battery St. Look for the Big blue Parking sign. All on street parking is Resident Permit Parking only. It's also a nice walk from North Station, Haymarket, or the Aquarium.This is the primary dock. Alternate locations may be arranged.

Things you should know if you come along for a sail..

You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks, and drinks including your favorite alcoholic beverage. You may want to keep it simple and have everything already prepared. Non-glass wine glasses and a bottle opener are available for your use. A foam cozy is available for your beer bottles. Excessive drinking is not allowed.

You are welcome to sit back and relax; or pull on the lines, crank on the winch, and help with the sailing. We will make every effort to exceed your expectations. A gratuity is appreciated.

Remember your camera and sunscreen. Also it may be colder on the water. You may want to bring an extra sweater or light coat. We sail rain or shine. Be prepared for any foul weather. Check our Weather Policy for more information.

If in doubt about anything, please ask. Whatever you bring on board will need to be stowed below while we are underway. Your cooperation in keeping a clean and safe boat is expected. Smoking is not allowed on board.

Ensign is the resident Cocker Spaniel. She is a very well behaved boat dog. She's the full-time crew.

We had such a great time on Mother's Day for the Pro-Am races when the Volvo Ocean Race was in port, we booked another sail for my birthday!

Prefer to make a reservation and pay in cash on the day of the sail. You may reserve online using a credit card to gaurantee the sailing date. Your credit card will only be charged if you do not pay in cash on the day of the sail.

s/v Hestia is available to charter in Boston for sunset sails, afternoon and day sails. Capt. Todd is a USCG licensed Master of up to 50 ton. The boat is a 2001 32ft Catalina sailboat nicely equipped for a relaxing sail around Boston outer islands and beyond.
